Childminding Assistant's Job Description


The assistant ideally will be qualified to a level 2/3 in childcare, have a DBS, a good knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, food hygiene, 1st aid, good computer skills and any other relevant qualifications.

They will be punctual and have good attendance. They will have at least 2 years experience working with children age 0-5 years.

The position is permanent with a 3 months probation period, once this is completed I offer a good rate of pay which is negotiable, pension, 6 weeks holiday which includes bank holidays, uniform., 5 days a week, leading to become a qualified child minder.

Main responsibilities

To deliver and ensure a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years.


To help with the efficient running of the nursery and overall delivery of a high quality service, a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment indoors and outdoors, at all times.


To help manage the day to day activities of the setting, have a good knowledge of how to extend children's play.

To help ensure that the room & garden is a safe environment for the children.


To ensure that the nursery plans an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress, also be able to record this information.

Have a professional manner in developing good partnerships with parents/carers.

Be able to interact with the children on their level and form good bonds with the children.


Be willing to go on school runs and outings to the park, feed the ducks and any other places we visit.

To help prepare light meals and feed babies where necessary.

To help ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times.


To ensure you have a good understanding and work to the nurseries policies and procedures, including how to log accidents, incidents, medicines & fire drills.

Have good computer skills as I use a system called "Baby days" to record everything, training will be given.

To undertake any other reasonable duties when asked.


Salary:
£36,914.81-£40,222.04 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
Hands are washed regularly, lateral flow tests done weekly, temperature checks
