NonStop's client in the NHS Foundation Trust based in South East London who are looking for a
Social Worker to work with people experiencing first episode psychosis in our Early Intervention Service.


The Early Intervention in Psychosis Service across the Trust are committed to implementing evidence-based approaches to supporting clients on their recovery journey.


As a Social Worker you will be working with people with psychosis from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds should ensure they are competent in addressing cultural and ethnic differences in beliefs regarding biological, social and family influences onthe causes of unusual mental states, treatment expectations and adherence.


Responsibilities:


  • Using explanatory models of illness
  • Explaining the causes of psychosis and treatment options
  • Working with families of people with psychosis
  • Conflict management and conflict resolution
