The Transformation & Information team at Calor Gas are looking to recruit an engaging and proactive Business Process Owner for RTR (Record to Report) and CTP(Cash to Pay) domains.


Reviews and agrees with business stakeholders overall demand, ensures projects and initiatives are prioritised accordingly and to make decisions regarding the profile of the portfolio plan and the demand required to deliver each release.


You will act as an advocate for change management, in conjunction with leadership teams and ensuring ways of working are embedded, while maintaining strong relationships with business leadership teams and other stakeholders - recognised as the single point of contact for business leaders.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Responsible for the documentation of all processes, policies and procedures related to their specified area.
  • Line management of Business Process Analyst(S), ensuring resourcing is balanced, and that the team members are provided with clear direction and development opportunities.
  • Brings about opportunities for new solutions or simplification to the Business based on the direction the technology roadmap and digital transformation.
  • Supports the Head of Business Evolution to create an overall strategy and vision for the process domain and prepare a 3year roadmap to be implemented.
  • Facilitate and lead the requirements gathering for Calor GB as part of any transformation programmes and where applicable determine and negotiate the trade off cost, quality, service, control.
  • Design and document bestpractice processes, at Level 2, 3, 4 and 5, for all inscope processes.
  • Define key performance metrics necessary to measure and monitor performance in key process areas and show improvements in these measures over time.
  • Work with a system integration partner to review options for process modification/simplification or necessity system customization.
  • Perform analysis to define cost/opportunity related to proposed customization.
  • Working with Peers in wider IT to standardize processes where appropriate and understand organizational and strategic direction and impact.
  • Facilitate alignment between development of business processes and other process domains as part of the end to end process. Maintain open communication and ensure stakeholders are managed.
  • Decision maker and escalation point for complex decisions within their capability and across Process areas with other Business Process Owners.
  • Manages the Change Board for their Process Area.
  • Evaluate and implement master data requirements for successful implementation of new business process
  • Works closely with Data Governance and Reporting colleagues.
  • Works closely with Internal Audit to drive Governance, Risk and Controls as part of the business process area.
  • Align and strengthen stakeholder relationships, ensuring buy in to the changes and required improvements
  • Communicate overall plan, new policy and process (change management and reengineering) with internal stakeholders & external suppliers
  • Actively lead a continuous improvement programme for process domain, testing, learning and measuring success against the process effectiveness measures.
