Assistant Director - Reward and HR Projects
Operations Department/Corporate HR

Two-year, fixed term contract

Hybrid working - two days per week in office

Circa £80,000 per annum

The Role
Investigo is currently supporting with this business critical role of Assistant Director for Reward and HR Projects.


Taking the lead on a number of major strategic HR change projects, you'll not only transform the City of London Corporation, you'll transform your own career.

It's a fast-paced environment where your expertise can have a lasting impact.

Responsibilities include;

  • Managing and motivating a skilled project team
  • Developing costed proposals and options for a new reward structure
  • Considering options on a future job evaluation scheme.
  • Negotiations with trade unions and staff representatives.
  • As a key member of the HR senior leadership team you will contribute to the HR business plan and assist the Chief People Officer with providing professional advice across the organisation.

About You You'll bring significant experience in leading specialist HR projects, including large-scale pay, grading and reward projects - from strategy development through to implementation.

We are also looking for;
- an exceptional communicator. You should have well-developed negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships.
- experience operating in a unionised environment.
- demonstrable intellectual rigour, business acumen and strong analytical skills.

  • Chartered Membership of the CIPD (or equivalent)
- someone ready to lead and develop a team of customer-facing HR professionals.
