An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rehabilitation Assistant to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team under the supervision of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists to support 7 day working into the Rehab Stroke unit at Freeman Hospital and community stroke team based at Regent Point.

You will implement treatment programmes prescribed by the therapist, making minor modifications when necessary often working without direct supervision.
Interview Date: 14th June 202- 30 Hours per a week

Applicants should have a technical qualification e.g. NVQ Level III health related care or equivalent technical/work experience or have previous experience working as a Therapy Assistant.


You will need to have an appreciation of the principles of rehabilitation and experience of working as a member of a team and working with older people.


Good organisational and time management skills and a commitment to personal development are required as well as effective written and oral communication and IT skills.

A car driver is essential for the role.

  • Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and Speech and Language Therapist. To work alongside the Therapist to deliver Therapy to a complex caseload on the ward and in the community.
  • To independently manage a designated caseload of patients defined as noncomplex within a specified clinical area, providing assessment and interventions on behalf of the Therapies within predetermined guidelines.
  • To deliver and fit assistive equipment in the patient's home as directed by the therapist.
