MSX International is looking for a Motorcycle Technical Support Engineer to support the Motorcycle & All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) networks nationally with complex technical issues and diagnosis and repair, and to coach on technical processes to help improve dealers first time fix.
The Role
In this field-based role, the Motorcycle Technical Support Engineer will work remotely and visit dealers to help with complex technical cases and support dealers with ongoing technical support through the Dealer Support Programme.
The Motorcycle Technical Support Engineer will liaise directly with the UK Customer Relations Team to assist with any inspections and dealer visits to help resolve complex customer cases, and provide technical information remotely to help resolve customer concerns.
Responsibilities include:
- Investigate dealer enquiries and resolve issues by drawing out information from dealers and coaching them through the process
- Highlight dealers through high contacts or repair issues to the Dealer Support programme and carry out onsite training and support
- Carry out training at dealers on Honda processes and procedures for technical and warranty
- Complete dealer visit reports after each onsite visit to demonstrate the activity, outcome and agreed actions
- Compile technical reports to assist internal teams in resolving customer issues or on request from Factory/Honda Motor Europe Technical
- To gather adhoc parts for Collection to support Japan and QIC (Quality Investigation Committee) reporting
- Support the Level 3 Customer Relations team with technical information
- Highlight any trends in technical issues that the network are experiencing and feedback to Head Office with data insight, reports and verbatim feedback
- Identify Level 3 TESS (Technical Support System) cases that will require onsite support at dealers and remote support as and when required.
- Coach Honda technicians through complex diagnosis and repair to facilitate faster repair times
- Liaise directly with European Dealer Technical Service teams for any cases that need to be escalated
About you
This is an ideal role for a current Motorcycle Diagnostic Technician who is looking to move away from the workshop whilst keeping up to date with technical knowledge.
- Relevant technical experience and qualification
- Motorcycle Diagnostic Technician Qualification (essential)
- Dealership work experience and background
- The ability to coach and mentor dealers through diagnosis in these complex cases remotely and onsite at dealer
- Flexible and adaptable in approach to work
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to travel throughout the UK and stay away from home
- Desire to support customers
