The Delivery Team is building a best-in-class, Learning & Development function.

It seeks an experienced Senior Learning Specialist to accelerate talent development by empowering team members' growth and developing their knowledge, skills, and capabilities to drive improved engagement and business performance.


Job Purpose


Reporting to the Manager of L&D, the Team Member will collaborate closely with our cross-functional stakeholders to successfully plan, organize, design, and deliver learning and development solutions designed to support the business objectives.


About You
The individual will act as a thought leader and strategist for our learning solutions.

Proficiency in the roles will be demonstrated by:

  • Using measurable objectives to evaluate learning outcomes
  • Partnering with Subject Matter Experts to curate and design learning outputs
  • Facilitating facetoface, videoconference, and virtual instructorled sessions
  • Identifying and assessing project costs, benefits, and risks (including developing business cases and initiating new project concepts)
  • Driving efforts across crossfunctional teams and channels
  • Presenting ideas, business benefits, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Dealing with conflicting priorities, issues, risks, dependencies, and change

Duties & Responsibilities
Learning & Development Needs Analysis

  • Consult with stakeholders to determine business performance gaps
  • Determine and recommend the most appropriate learning solution(s) based on the target audience, number of participants, geographical location, budget, etc.
  • Determine how employees will be measured on their performance and supported on the job
Designing Learning Content

  • Consult with Subject Matter Experts (SME) or Learning & Development "Champions" from business units to determine and compile training content (assess learning points, concepts, business benefits, and objectives)
  • Leverage existing training materials where possible to use in the development of new materials
  • Organize content into programs, courses, topics, and objectives
  • Design course outlines for instructorled training and eLearning training modules
  • Leverage adult learning principles and fundamental learning strategy to ensure the transfer of knowledge (teach, show, do, and evaluate)
  • Determine the most suitable method(s) of delivery to meet the needs of the learner and business unit
  • Design scripts and storyboards for eLearning training modules
  • Seek and provide peer feedback on training material development
  • Obtain signoff from business unit leaders throughout the development of the training solution
  • Develop training schedule to support learners' knowledge transfer
  • Conduct a program pilot (dry run) when possible and revise materials as necessary to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of delivery
  • Maintain training assets (job aids, program guides, procedures, evaluations, elearning modules) to ensure alignment with updated business processes
Implement Training Programs

  • As required, schedule logistics of training delivery participants list, training schedule, facilities/room bookings, resources to meet business training needs
  • Review materials before training to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of delivery
  • Organize and set up the learning environment and supporting materials in preparation for the training session
  • Facilitate virtual and inclass training to satisfy learning objectives
  • Provide opportunities for engagement and participation in keeping with adult learning principles
  • Recognize participants' various learning styles, and adapt training styles accordingly
  • Document learner observations and provide feedback to participants' leaders
Evaluation of Training

  • Distribute reaction surveys (level 1) and knowledge assessments (level 2) and monitor onthejob performance (level 3) to evaluate the effectiveness of training
  • Analyze feedback from participants and their leaders to assess the effectiveness and impact of training solution
  • Adjust training solutions as required to improve upon results

What You Bring To The Team

  • Knowledge of learning standards, best practices, and learning systems
  • Experience in the development of elearning, Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT), and classroom training
  • Understanding of project management practices
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with an ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft and Atlassian products

Great to Haves

  • Working knowledge of learning management systems, preferably TalentLMS and KnowBe
  • Adult learning certificate or equivalent education in learning, business, management, information services, or equiva
