Work with us at Riverford, and join a thriving employee-owned business

  • Be part of a friendly, engaging and committed team.
  • Lots of opportunities to learn, grow, and progress in your career.
  • We'll give you an abundance of free organic fruit and veg, an annual taxfree coowner bonus, and a bounty of benefits including lowcost, homecooked organic breakfasts and lunches.

More than just a veg box.
Riverford are mad about organic veg. It's at the core of everything we do.

We love to grow it, pack it into boxes, and deliver it to around 70,000 homes across the UK every week.

This takes loads of brilliant people - and working here makes you a 'co-owner', since Riverford is employee owned. Success means much more than just profits; we want this to be a place people enjoy coming to work, and a business our co-owners feel proud of

In 2021, we were delighted to be awarded two-star Best Companies accreditation, recognising Riverford as an 'outstanding' place to work.

What you'll be doing

As Supply chain Assistant you will be involved in the end-to-end process of securing, ordering, and monitoring produce requirements in line with sales, quality, and demand levels, continuously reassessing the impact any changes may have to plans already in place.

You will work alongside other teams, both on and off site to ensure that the stock is moved to the relevant temperature environments and make certain that accurate stock movement is recorded on stock documents.

This is largely an office-based role, however there is an expectation to be aware of the whole site, including the farm, and completing stock takes at the end of the day, along with maintaining crucial working relationships.

You will be expected to use you're planning and communication skills to talk to a wide range of departments across the business and external suppliers, keep ahead of any potential issues, ensure contingency planning is in place, and ensure the consistent supply of produce to our customers.

You'll be great at working with and interrogating numbers and trends, enjoy working at pace and be willing to become our 'go-to' person for anyone needing to know what the most current stock situation is.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of a computerised stock system
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Accurate, with great attention to detail, specifically with numbers
  • Organised with the ability to be adaptable and reprioritise workload due to urgency and impact.
  • There may be occasion for you to use an Electric Pallet Truck but don't worry, we'll train you to do so

What are the hours?
40 hours a week - Sunday - Thursday, with working hours between 06:00 & 18:00 on a rolling shift basis, shared between the team. Flexibility is required, especially in the absence of another member of the team.

What are we paying? £25,000 per annum, depending on experience
