Description

This position is ideal for someone with kitchen experience who would like to choose their own hours and work in a variety of environments.

Experience with working in a care home/ nursing home environment is desirable but not essential.
You will be Self employed on the We Care 2 platform.

Responsibilities:

To work in a variety of Care homes in the local area who need support within the kitchen
Assist the head cook in food preparation and meal planning
Follow recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency in food quality
Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Assist in receiving and storing food supplies
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred
Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
