As a Barclays Business Manager, you will provide operational and strategic assistance across several core activities.

Providing an outstanding service to your risk stakeholders you will create efficiency through central execution of a portfolio of activityand manage service delivery relationships with a wide range of partners.

Working across two operating models you will have a unique opportunity to provide a centralised service across risk whilst also having a significant focus on alignment to a specific risktransaction Cycle (RTC) area.

What will you be doing?:


  • You will assist the Head of Service and Business Management (S&BM) through a fluid engagement with all stakeholders to ensure delivery of the defined model of our service
  • You will provide aligned assistance for the Treasury, Enterprise, Credit & Climate Risk Transaction Cycle (TECC), including fulfilling the Service Manager role for the TECC
  • Building and maintaining solid relationships across senior management and partners across HR, Finance, Audit, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations and Tech
  • You will lead on all aspects of the Service Management governance and delivery of BAU /project activities as required with help of Chief of Staff / Service Owner
  • Anticipating and facilitate any changes to the service agreements between the TC and the entities by partnership and understanding needs
  • You will drive any presentation preparation for RTC management including monthly and quarterly business reporting, weekly updates, annual cost budget and forecasts
  • Overseeing process change activities ensuring efficiency and undertaking strategic planning, decision support, business case completion and benefit tracking
  • You will drive and oversee the communications agenda, for example newsletters, RTC intranet, town halls and RTC specific initiatives

  • Excellent analytical /numeracy skills coupled with sound analysis, judgement, and an eye for detail
  • Ability to work on several tasks/projects simultaneously in a challenging environment and to learn quickly to understand context and develop awareness of RTC mandate and delivery
  • Resilient, discreet, proactive and growth mindset, ability to pursue tasks/projects to completion
  • Ability to develop exceptional working relationships and be at ease working with and challenging senior stakeholders

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Prior experience within business management or transferrable skills and familiarity with the Risk function
  • Proven excellent influencing and negotiation skills
  • Effective communication skills as well as excel, and PowerPoint, both creating content and delivering key messages
  • Capability to understand, analyse and communicate the meaning to senior management
