Permanent position, 22.5 hours a week

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Paediatric Oncology team as a Band 4 Family support worker.

This is a new role within the Oncology team and will be a great asset to the service in providing high quality care for the children and families within this specialty.

The team supports inpatients within Emily Kent unit on the ward and outpatient clinics at Gloucester Royal Hospital as well as seeing children in their own homes, school and at Bristol Children's hospital.

This role will also be supporting education and training to ensure children and families are enabled to care for all the needs of their child in whatever situation they are in.

The team also deliver education and training to doctors, nurseries, schools and other health care professionals.
