Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our elderly residents.

Your role will involve supervising and leading a team of care assistants, ensuring that care plans are followed, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.


Duties:


  • Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Administer medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Assist residents with mobility and transfers
  • Create and update care plans based on individual needs
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals
  • Supervise and support a team of care assistants
  • Maintain a clean and organized care home environment

Requirements:


  • Proven experience in senior care or a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in using IT systems for documentation purposes
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to transport residents if required
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in challenging situations
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a care home setting
