    Description

    Job summary

We're offering a short-term secondment opportunity for a Band 7 Senior Clinical Practitioner in the Mental Health Single Point of Access (MH SPA) and NHS111 Option 2 service. This is a chance to step into leadership within a unique and well established team, build on your existing skills and contribute to high quality crisis care over the telephone.

    Main duties of the job

    What you'll be doing:

    • Providing clinical leadership on shift, especially for junior staff who need your guidance and support
    • Carrying out brief crisis assessments, offering advice, signposting and helping to de-escalate where needed
    • Making sure our 'no wrong door' approach is something we live by, not just say
    • Working closely with other services when someone needs more intensive or follow-up input
    • Supporting the team to stay safe, responsive and person-centred
    • Making sure junior staff have a solid and safe induction
    • Working 24/7 shifts, including night shifts

We're looking for someone who's confident managing clinical risk and used to making complex decisions. You stay calm under pressure, are approachable on shift and willing to take the lead when it's needed. You value clear supervision, healthy boundaries and working as part of a team.

This post is to cover an internal secondment, so we're looking for someone to start as soon as possible after interview.
