The Financial and Commercial Services Team are looking for an External Funding Assistant to become part of the team.


The University's aim is to foster research and innovation to generate new knowledge that addresses regional, national and global challenges.

It works closely with industry to drive innovation and knowledge exchange to support the regeneration of the economy. The department is seeking somebody to support the financial aspects of these initiatives.


The successful person will be able to maintain project income and expenditure records, working mainly with excel and our Agresso finance system, for a portfolio of funded research and enterprise projects, assist with budgetary control and ensure contract terms and conditions are adhered to.

They will ensure grant claims are submitted in a timely manner and provide professional advice to senior managers and project leads across the University.

Attention to detail, a methodical approach and an ability to plan and prioritise your own workload is essential. Training and supervision will be provided.
