Description

Be part of the movement to improve and provide mental health services for young people aged 0 to 25 years old in the city of Birmingham who are in a mental health crisis.
Forward Thinking Birmingham is an innovative community and inpatient mental health service delivering a pathway of care for 025-year-olds. The service is led by Birmingham Womens and Childrens Hospital, and it is the first of its kind nationally.

You will be working closely with our key partners where together we have an ambition to deliver an outstanding model of mental health care for the people of Birmingham.

Be under no illusion, we have work to do, but rest assured FTB is a unique and truly individual service.

We are continuously learning and evolving, as we work together to meet the mental health needs of our multi-cultural city.

We are looking for a Band 6 Senior Mental Health Practitioner for our Crisis and Home Treatment Team who has an interest in a variety of mental health settings.

Our service includes patients with varying diagnosis that have deteriorated into a mental health crisis that puts them at risk of being admitted to hospital.

The Crisis and Home Treatment Team will support people in their homes to try and prevent admission.

If hospital admission cannot be avoided, then the crisis and home treatment team will help patients step down early and be supported in their homes with their family.
