About Our Client:


Page Personnel are partnering with an organisation in the education sector with a fantastic opportunity to join their Payroll & HR Department as a Payroll Advisor.

This is a permanent and full time role, offering an excellent package, supportive environment, and a varied role.


The role will be working in a small and established payroll team based in Leeds, reporting directly into a highly experienced and supportive Payroll Manager.


Duties include:

  • Delivering an accurate and timely monthly payroll service
  • Managing Pension Schemes, coordinating the administration process for that scheme and monitoring compliance with statutory and regulatory commitments
  • Undertaking the necessary processing of payroll and pensions related data such as claims, changes to tax and NI, changes to pay rates, contractual hours, sick pay
  • Generate reports and provide analysis as required in relation to payroll and pensions data including any statutory or audit
  • Work closely with colleagues across Human Resources to support the delivery of a seamless service to managers and staff
  • Develop a good understanding of our pension schemes, staff terms and conditions and staff reward framework and stay up to date with wider pensions, payroll and reward developments across the sector
  • Operate with the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion in working with sensitive personal data, whilst also recognising GDPR obligations
  • Other related duties as required

The Successful Applicant:


  • A proven track record in managing the delivery of an accurate and timely monthly payroll and pension service for a large organisation
  • Evidence of welldeveloped planning and organising skills including the ability to meet deadlines and manage long and short term objectives
  • Experience of using effective problem solving skills and judgement to identify and implement pragmatic solutions
  • Experience of managing pensions (desirable)
  • Experience with using iTrent (desirable)
  • Experience in the education sector (desirable)
