Overview:

Kingsthorpe Golf Club, Northampton, highly regarded and founded in 1908, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Greenkeeper.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Greenkeeper and team with the maintenance and upkeep of the golf course, driving range, and surrounding areas.
Participate in all aspects of course maintenance, including mowing, edging, weeding, and irrigation.
Operate and maintain various machinery and equipment used in golf course maintenance.
Assist in the implementation and execution of turf management programs, including fertilization, pest control, and aerification.
Contribute to golf course design and development, including bunker maintenance and renovation.
Support the team in preparing the course for tournaments, events, and daily play.
Adhere to health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

Recognised qualifications in greenkeeping or turf management.
Strong interest in golf course maintenance and a passion for the game of golf.
Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
Willingness to learn and develop new skills in turf management.
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and occasional evenings, as needed.
