Due to growth, Carpenter Box have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant, based in our Worthing office, which is located right by the town centre and seafront.

They will support our Senior Financial Controller, Assistant Financial Controllers and strengthen our busy finance team.

We are offering this as a full-time position, part-time will be considered at a minimum of 22.5 hours (3 days per week)

The role includes:


  • Ensuring that all financial transactions are correctly recorded and reported and that there is integrity of the underlying financial results by carrying out necessary reconciliations.
  • Carrying out transaction processing to support the preparation of accounting records
  • Undertaking the financial analysis of Carpenter Box Group of Companies as required
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts for the Carpenter Box Group of Companies
  • Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and working papers
  • Assisting with budget preparations and analysis

  • Have either GCSE/equivalent Maths at grade C (5) or above, a foundation level AAT qualification or relevant finance experience gained in a previous role

  • Be confident working on their own and as part of a team
  • Be able to use their initiative
