We are currently looking to recruit a confident Administrator/Estimator to providing administrative support to a busy Engineering Department.


The role will have particular focus on compiling estimates from information provided, producing quotations and liaising with customers around proposals.

Main duties will include

  • Tracking job progression to estimating stages
  • Pricing engineers' estimate sheets
  • Prepare and submit quotations/estimates for work for surveyed works.
  • For accepted works source best prices from suppliers.
  • Work alongside others to ensure stock and materials are in place prework start date.
  • Use of inhouse computer system for job recording and tracking
  • Monitor unused stock and arrange return to suppliers following procedures in place.
  • Oversite of engineers Job sheets in line with company time scales.
  • Collate underpinning and supporting paperwork for each job, ensuring that relevant information is held on file or submitted to regulatory bodies and recorded for reference against each job.
  • Work with others to resolve issues as they arise in a timely response
  • Assisting management with tasks and/or projects when required.
  • Previous costing and administration experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in a customer facing role, ideally communicating directly with clients and customers.
  • Industry awareness and a good understanding of the challenges of the competitive electrical services market.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels (both written and verbal)
  • Computer literate including a working knowledge of Microsoft word and excel with an aptitude to learn new systems as required.

In return the company will offer

  • 37.5 hours per week over Monday to Friday
  • Salary £25,500 pro rata per annum dependant on experience.
