Your New Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a rapidly growing care business.
As the Management Accountant you will report directly into the Senior Accountant and be responsible for high quality accounting and reporting for the FinancialController.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining the integrity of the Group's month end reporting in line with reporting deadlines.
- Monthly review of financial results for business area of responsibility.
- Owning monthly and yearend balance sheet reconciliation process.
- Reviewing month end reporting pack.
- Assisting Finance Business Partners (FBP) to understand the reason for budget variances & ensuring development of the finance business partnering function, with a valueadded approach to planning and cost management.
- Contributing to monthly review meetings with finance business partners and key stakeholders.
- Ensuring all control reconciliations are completed in line with procedures, working alongside department heads.
- Supporting the rest of the team during the year end process.
- Support the development of the Finance Team and the Accounts Assistants.
- Active involvement in annual budget preparation process.
- Building strong working relationships with internal departments, internal audit, and other external bodies.

As the Management Accountant you will:
- Demonstrates an experience and understanding of management accounts and financial cycles.
- Demonstrates clear examples of effective working relationships and the understanding of how that relationship can help drive the business forward.
- Demonstrates effective communication to wider team of key financial variables.
- Strong analytical skills required to investigate, understand and explain variances and overall performance.
- Personable, enthusiastic, team oriented.
- Good communicator who can build strong relationships.
- Ability to manage own workload effectively under own initiative.
