Your New Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a rapidly growing care business.

As the Management Accountant you will report directly into the Senior Accountant and be responsible for high quality accounting and reporting for the FinancialController.


Duties & Responsibilities
As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the integrity of the Group's month end reporting in line with reporting deadlines.
  • Monthly review of financial results for business area of responsibility.
  • Owning monthly and yearend balance sheet reconciliation process.
  • Reviewing month end reporting pack.
  • Assisting Finance Business Partners (FBP) to understand the reason for budget variances & ensuring development of the finance business partnering function, with a valueadded approach to planning and cost management.
  • Contributing to monthly review meetings with finance business partners and key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring all control reconciliations are completed in line with procedures, working alongside department heads.
  • Supporting the rest of the team during the year end process.
  • Support the development of the Finance Team and the Accounts Assistants.
  • Active involvement in annual budget preparation process.
  • Building strong working relationships with internal departments, internal audit, and other external bodies.

As the Management Accountant you will:

  • Demonstrates an experience and understanding of management accounts and financial cycles.
  • Demonstrates clear examples of effective working relationships and the understanding of how that relationship can help drive the business forward.
  • Demonstrates effective communication to wider team of key financial variables.
  • Strong analytical skills required to investigate, understand and explain variances and overall performance.
  • Personable, enthusiastic, team oriented.
  • Good communicator who can build strong relationships.
  • Ability to manage own workload effectively under own initiative.
