Our nationally recognised Intestinal Failure Unit (IFU), at Salford Royal is seeking a Nursing Associate who has a keen interest in nutrition and Intestinal Failure (IF).


The service is looking for someone with experience in caring for inpatients in a hospital setting and for someone who understands the complex nature when managing patients with complex long-term conditions.


Evidence of working with gastrointestinal & nutrition is desirable not essential as full clinical skills and on the job training within the specialist field of Intestinal Failure will be provided.


The IFU Nursing Associate will assist the team during the management, assessment, and delivery of treatment for patients with complex Intestinal Failure (IF).


The role is instrumental in supporting patients with intestinal failure during their transition from inpatient to patient care in the community involving direct contact with patients and their families.


The Intestinal Failure Unit (IFU) has a National & International reputation for high quality patient outcomes and is directly commissioned by NHS England to provide specialist services during the management of patients with Intestinal Failure.
