Lecturer in Business & Digital


Location:

Salary:
£24,294pa - £39,141 pa DOE and Qualifications


Job Type: 35 hours per week. Occasional extra hours and weekend work may be required, for which time off in lieu is given. Staff are expected to support College events outside of core business hours.


Are you a well-qualified graduate teacher or industry experienced professional looking to train to teach across two large departments offering a range of Business and Digital courses from Level 1 to Level 5.


The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to both departments' development, make significant contribution to the delivery of vocational business and digital courses from Level 1 to Level 5 (depending on skills/qualifications) and ensure accurate tracking and monitoring of learners through our centralised tracking software.


You will be either a successful Business or Computing graduate, an experienced teacher or someone with industrial based experience in a Business or Digital discipline, who is committed to undertake teacher training.

Halesowen College will carry out pre-employment safeguarding vetting checks to ensure that staff appointed are suitable to work with children and or vulnerable adults


Qualifications:


  • Have a degree or at least a relevant level 4 qualification or relevant industry (
    ESSENTIAL):
  • Possess or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification on appointment

Desirable Experience and Knowledge:


  • Experience of teaching within a FE environment
  • Have experience delivering vocational qualifications at levels 1 to level
  • You should have relevant vocational experience in a Business or Digital industry
  • Experience of being a course leader for a vocational qualification at Level 3

  • Able to contribute to the organisational aspects of the curriculum area
