1:1 SEN Support in a Mainstream Primary School

  • Primary mainstream school in the Rossendale area.


  • Key Stage

  • Working with a child with ASD
  • 8.30am 3:30pm (flexible)
  • Temporary to Permanent contract potential


Veritas Education are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work in a Mainstream School on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with ASD.


Teaching Assistant responsibilities will involve:


  • Supporting the class teacher in effectively delivering lessons
  • Supporting a child with ASD on a 1:1 basis
  • Using your initiative throughout the day for continuous problemsolving scenarios

Teaching Assistant requirements:


  • Have a passion for working with young people and providing them with the most positive educational experience possible
  • Experience of working with children and young people with additional needs
  • Be empathetic and understanding towards pupils, staff members and parents/carers
  • Eager and willing to learn new skills and attend variety of courses within the role to further your knowledge and understanding

Must have:


  • Up to date CV with a clear history of your previous work history
  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Online Update Service (or to be prepared to obtain one for a fee).
  • Overseas police check if required
  • Be able to provide 2 references covering the last 5 years
  • Legal right to work and be able to provide proof of this
  • Be able to attend either video or face to face interview

_All pay rates that are offered will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. Our working opportunities include temporary positions, permanent contracts and ad hoc supply._
