Salary:
Circa £36,000 - dependent on experience & skills


What you'll be doing:


As a Project Professional you will be working within the Site & Facilities Major Projects Department and will be responsible for the refurbishment and construction of existing and new facilities across an extensive industrial site.


This role will provide you with the opportunity to work both autonomously and as part of a dynamic project team.

You will have the freedom to make decisions over the delivery of a wide variety of construction, engineering and civil related projects ranging from £5k to multi-million.


  • Endtoend project management of diverse projects.
  • Managing, monitoring and controlling project activities and schedules to support their effective delivery throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, including cost, schedule and quality
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders over a variety of disciplines, up to and including Senior Management.
  • Daytoday management of Principal and Sub-Contractors throughout construction phases of projects.
  • Appraising method statements and risk assessments, incorporating input from key stakeholders.
  • Facilitating design reviews, aspect and impact assessments and regular project meetings throughout the duration of projects.

Your skills and experiences:


Essential:


  • Understanding of Project management & Planning processes and techniques
  • Understanding of Health and Safety/Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations

Desirable:


  • Qualification or experience in Construction or Engineering or Project Management
  • Experience of managing projects and liaising with contractors
  • Understanding of industrial facilities and construction environments
  • Health and Safety Management Qualification (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH)

The Site & Facilities Major Projects team:

The Site & Facilities Major Projects team is varied and will provide you an opportunity to work on site of projects where you will gain a real insight and first-hand visibility of the project build from concept to completion.

You will play a key role in shaping, managing and maintaining the infrastructure of the BAE Systems Site. Additionally, training and career development opportunities are available allowing you to add to and develop your skills.
