Description
Bell is recruiting a part-time HR Advisor.

Working as part of a small HR team, you will provide recruitment and HR advice and support to the business.

You will also support the Group HR Manager with the development of the HR function to ensure delivery ofa highly flexible and efficient Human Resources service to the whole business.


Key responsibilities include:

HR Support

  • Provide generalist HR advice, support, guidance and administration support to managers
  • Respond to HR enquiries from employees
  • Assist the HR Manager with ER case work
  • Administer the company benefit scheme and advise employees on complex benefits such as the pension scheme, maternity and paternity, shared parental leave and salary sacrifice
  • Review weekly and monthly absence data, highlight trends and proactively support the business in reducing absence
  • Assist with payroll, supplying accurate and timely information regarding starters, leavers, overtime, deductions and benefits
  • Assist with the review of HR policies and procedures
  • Provide support to the Group HR Manager on project work as required
  • Contribute to the development of HR best practice

Recruitment

  • Liaise with Hiring Managers regarding recruitment requirements
  • Advertising, screening and arranging interviews using the recruitment management system
  • Issue offers, contracts and preemployment documents to new hires
  • Coordinate the preemployment screening process including referencing and conducting right to work and DBS checks
  • Conduct HR inductions
This is a part-time role working 30 hours over 4 days per week. One day per week could be worked remotely.


Essential:

  • CIPD qualified (or working towards)
  • Experience of working in a generalist HR role
  • Understanding of current UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience of advising on, and assisting in employment issues, including recruitment, disciplinary, and employee absence
  • Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with employees at all levels of seniority on sensitive issues
  • Excellent team working skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Excellent administration skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to plan ahead, manage and meet competing tasks and deadlines
  • Tact, diplomacy and ability to deal with difficult situations
  • Able to effectively prioritise and manage own workload

Desirable:

  • Experience of payroll administration
  • Experience of conducting RTW and DBS checks
  • Experience of working in a safeguarding environment
