- £24,000- £32,000 per annum plus commission (dependent on experience)****Type

  • Essex**My client design and manufacture a range of automated equipment and they are looking to take on a Sales Engineer to work as part of their team, on a permanent basis, in the Essex area.

The Graduate / Sales Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Apprenticeship / HNC/ HND / BTEC / City Guilds/ Degree qualification or similar in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering ideally although not essential
  • Be keen to work in a varied sales environment or have previous experience
  • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics and electrical basics is ideal and any access control knowledge is desirable
  • Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be commercially aware
  • Training will be provided in this position
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential

The Graduate / Sales Engineer role will involve:

  • Working within the existing sales engineering team
  • split between being in the office and out seeing customers
  • Developing an excellent technical knowledge of the product range
  • Meeting clients to discuss to understand the scope of jobs and discuss pricing
  • Liaising with other colleagues and offering technical assistance when needed
  • Being responsible for sales, budgets and forecasts
  • Being involved in taking new and existing technical products to market
  • Following up new leads
  • Carrying out site surveys and working with clients on quotations
