Your New Career Opportunity:
We are proudly representing our public sector client based in Gateshead for their search for a HR Advisor. They now have an immediate requirement to recruit for a temporary assignment to start as soon as possible.
Your New Role:
- Assisting in providing comprehensive and effective HR advice based on a clear understanding of service and school objectives and their operations
- Providing support and advice to schools, services and other related organisations as required on all relevant HR issues
- Providing support, guidance and advice to services and schools on the interpretation and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Ensuring these are applied in an effective, fair, and consistent manner
- Contributing to the development of policies, under the guidance of HR and Workforce Development Managers
- Preparing reports and other documentation for presentation to management.
- Researching best practice and collating and analysing data to inform decision making, policy development and effective workforce planning
- Understanding the Workforce Strategy and Plan and other relevant HR related strategies
- Contributing to specific projects and tasks and finishing activities to increase workforce productivity
- Consulting with trade unions and employee representatives
- Maintaining appropriate systems within the service to ensure records are accurate and up to date
About You:
- You must have a Level 5 CIPD qualification
- Experience of HR within a large organisation or public sector is desirable
- An essential requirement is having the ability to influence others
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- You must be able to work on your own initiative and as a member of a team
- Have the ability to develop constructive relationships with managers and colleagues
- Be able to use organisational skills to prioritise workloads and deliver to tight deadlines
- Have excellent written and verbal presentation skills
