We are looking for a Head of HSEQ & Compliance to join our growing team and manage the HSEQ and Compliance Department


Here's what you will be doing:

  • To manage, develop, implement, and maintain G2 Energy's Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality management system is in accordance with ISO 45001/14001/900
  • Oversee and lead all team members within the HSEQ and Compliance
  • To overlook the team in providing proactive leadership on all HSEQ and Compliance issues and promoting an enthusiastic and positive commitment and approach to continuous improvement of HSEQ and compliance performance.
  • Provide HSEQ and Compliance advice to all employees, and where required appointed contractors so the teams operate safely and effectively. Ensure this complies with ISO, NERS and other accreditation as required.
  • Oversee the onboarding of new employees with regards to HSEQ
  • Provide support in the development of elearning for the LMS in conjunction with the People Team.
  • Raise the profile of HSEQ activity and ensure that competent personnel and Sub-Contractors are deployed to deliver projects etc.
  • Ensure that Site Management Teams, Employees, Clients &Principal Contractors (where applicable) are implementing high standards of HSEQ in the workplace and are being effectively managed, monitored and maintained.
  • Ensuring G2E office and project HSEQ audits and inspections as required and requested by clients.
  • Responsible for managing the updating and maintaining of the relevant HSEQ/Compliance documents and registers on the company database system.
  • Working with the Operations Manager with drafting and updating the Construction Phase Plan as required under CDM Regs 201
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with site notifications ensuring that they are in date, updated and displayed.
  • Oversee in completing site investigations for incidents/accidents and near misses when required.
  • To work with Project/Site Managers in reviewing subcontractor site documentation e.g., RAMS and producing RAMS evaluation sheets.
  • Attending site meetings with clients, site managers and projects managers when required.
  • Providing monthly HSEQ reports with HSEQ stats, site audits, inspection reports, accident and near miss reports and misc.
  • To oversee the compliance team to ensure all documents/policies/procedures are updated and communicated to wider G2E employees in line with ISO and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop long term plans to deliver the business vision. Drives the organisations activities to achieve long term goals. Ensure alignment of team's objectives to achieve the long term direction of the organisation.

Here's what we need from you:

  • At least 5 years working in a similar management role.
  • Excellent knowledge of current HSEQ legislations and compliance processes
  • Have working knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001/45001/14001 and OHSAS 1800
  • Management Systems/ISO45001 experience of document management systems
  • NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or equivalent
  • Internal Quality, Environment and Health and Safety audit certificates

Desirable

  • Knowledge of civil and electrical activities on construction projects.
  • Experience of drafting policies and procedures and participating in external accreditation audits.
  • Have a good understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and construction HSEQ compliance.
