Empowering Learning are currently recruiting on behalf of a lovely Stoke-on-Trent school for a Maths Tutor to support the learning of KS3 and KS4 students on a small group and one to one basis.

The school are part of a multi-academy trust with around 850 students, operating slightly under capacity.

The Maths department are particularly keen for the Maths Tutor to come in and help students bridge the gap in their learning caused by the Covid pandemic.


The successful Maths Tutor would need the following:
BA Honours degree - ideally Maths based but the school can be relatively flexible

Experience of working with young people in a similar capacity, although this is not essential and training can be put in place for the right person

Clean Criminal record

Understanding of the needs of young people and ability to establish a rapport with them

This Maths Tutor role would require you to be available from 8:30am - 3:30pm and be able to commute to Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent

Be available Mon - Fri from the end of October until July - potentially beyond.


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£14.00-£16.00 per hour

  • StokeonTrent, Staffordshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:


  • Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
  • Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)
