Marketing and Sales Coordinator (Aberystwyth, Wales)
Purpose
At Techion we disrupt disease management by making the invisible visible. Techion's world-leading particle flotation and imaging technology is revolutionising disease management.
Techion UK Ltd is part of the New Zealand based Techion Group.
Techion sell online parasite diagnostic equipment to the agricultural and veterinary industries in the UK and Europe, and the business is growing to cover a range of species.
In addition, Techion are involved in many research projects as well as providing consultancy and advisory services.The role, based just outside Aberystwyth, is to coordinate and implement all aspects of the company's UK and European marketing, to help generate new leads, strengthen customer relationships and overall brand awareness
Responsibilities and skills
- Implement and coordinate the company's UK marketing schedule.
- Create content on social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and other relevant platforms to increase brand awareness and lead generation.
- Review reports on campaigns based on analytics.
- Liaise with sales team on their needs for marketing materials (price lists, brochures, presentation materials, etc.) for their sales presentation needs and also client management.
- Work as part of a team to create dynamic written, graphic, and video content.
- Write and distribute enewsletters to subscribers.
- Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the company's marketing activities, including booking exhibitions / shows.
- Ensure consistency in formatting and branding across internal documentation and clientfacing content.
- Support Techion's commercial customers with point of sale material (digital and hard copy). Includes liaising with customers for their requirements and dispatch of POS material.
- First line Enquiry Response. Provide product, promotion, and pricing information by clarifying customer request; selecting appropriate information; replying to the customer and forwarding information (e.g. to distributor's / salesperson); answering questions.
- Enter and maintain all new lead details on CRM. Help manage the leads pipeline and assist with communications to leads.
- Represent company at shows/events (if required).
- Liaising with counterparts in New Zealand which may mean some flexible working hours
Personal requirements

Ability to speak Welsh desirable but not essential:
- Proven marketing experience in a similar role;
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud would be advantageous but not essential.
- Strong proficiency of Microsoft Office;
- A creative approach;
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to use own initiative whilst also being able to operate effectively within a remote team.
- A background or experience in the livestock and / or equine industry would be advantageous but not essential.
