Nineteen Recruitment is delighted to working with a local client, recruiting on their behalf for a Teaching Assistant, a role that is based in the North Tyneside area.

This role is long-term and commands a standard hourly rate of £11.76 per hour.


Job description


As a teaching assistant, you will be working with students on a 1:1 basis, supervising, and providing support for pupils; including those with SEN, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.


Whilst helping students with their learning development you will be setting challenging and demanding expectations and promoting self-esteem and independence to help pupils gain confidence to complete work on their own.


You will be working under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes and management/preparation of resources with individuals.


  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to get one
  • Experience working with young persons
