Description
This job is an essential role within Hendon Cemetery and Crematorium and Milespit New Cemetery, you will be an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative, and be able to lead by example and oversee a small team of experienced staff.
The role is mainly hands on ground maintenance work with some supervisory functions.Job title:

What you'll be doing:
- Organising the grounds maintenance schedule in conjunction with the service manager
- Hands on grass cutting, leaf clearing, hedge trimming and gardening.
- Maintaining equipment and light maintenance of buildings
- Ensuring the grounds maintenance programme is delivered to a high standard
- Working collaboratively and as a team member
What we're looking for:
- Experienced in using strimmer's, hedge trimmers, ride on mowers, hand tools
- Ability to take instruction
- Empathy with members of the public
- Ability to lead by example
- Able to work outdoors in all weathers
- Understand the importance of doing an excellent job in a cemetery setting
