- Provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in the nursery
- Give support to other team members throughout the nursery
- Work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop
- Operate a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children in your area following the Early Years Foundation Stage and Development Matters
- To keep records of your key children's development and learning journeys and share this with parents, carers and other key adults in the child's life
- Support all staff and engage in a good staff team
- Liaise with and support parents and other family members
- To be involved in out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, parent evening, fundraising events etc.
- Be flexible, the position requires the staff member to work when required anytime between 7.30 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday and flexibility is required between these times.
- A satisfactory enhanced DBS check which confirms suitability to work with children.
- Relevant safeguarding and paediatric first aid qualifications
- Are supported during supervisions and there is a real driver and focus on personal development.
- Staff have time allocated to attend staff planning meetings and complete key person record keeping tasks

Early Years Bank Practitioner - Southampton SO NE - The Early Years Group
Description
Hamble Early Years Centre is an established and privately owned nursery group with a great reputation. Due to expansion, we are now looking for Bank Early Years Practitioners to join our friendly and professional team.
Applicants will need experience of working with children aged 0-5 and will have in-depth knowledge of the EYFS, the Statutory Framework and other relevant legislation. You will have experience of having your own key group of children and know how to support each individual child's learning and development.
