Job Purpose:

The Import Operations Administrator will be responsible for coordinating and providing administration of
Freight Import Shipments for the TR Logistics Group. This is an opportunity to join a growing team with plans for further expansion.


Main Duties:


General

  • Training on import customs procedures.
  • Completion of import files
  • Providing administration support through to completion of the job and invoicing
  • Collection of money from 'one off' accounts
  • Processing purchase invoices in a timely manner
  • Arranging customs clearance with inhouse customs team
  • Arranging delivery to final destination
  • Dealing with incoming drivers and related paperwork
  • Liaise with TR Logistics Warehouse sector in relation to storage and handling.
  • Provide a timely response to all relevant queries
  • To ensure high levels of customer services are maintained at all times
  • Collating information on Imports Bond Spreadsheet
  • Discharging Transits upon Arrival
  • Completing tasks on CNS system

Essential Criteria:


1. Qualification/Requirements/ Experience

  • Full UK Driving License and access to transport
  • GCSE English and Mathematics grade C or above or equivalent qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy office environment.
  • Proficient IT Skills with working knowledge of MS Office
- experience in Excel and Word

  • Be a professional individual with knowledge of customer service and expectation.
  • Enthusiastic, hardworking, well organised and able to prioritise
  • Ability and confidence to work on own initiative and be proactive
  • Able to meet deadlines selfstarter.
  • Able to work with others, and willing to contribute to team communications
  • Effective communicator both internal and with external customers

2. Desirable Short-Listing Criteria

  • Knowledge of Import procedures and understanding of customs
  • Experience of dealing with incoming goods
  • Experience within a similar administrative role and business
  • Experience of profit making and management of costs
  • Experience of dealing directly with customers

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYEMENT

Salary:
£23k-£25k (negotiable depending on experience)


Hours of Work: 9.00 am to 5.00 pm


Location:
Transit 4, Edgewater Road, Belfast (or any Group sites if required)


Annual Leave: 20 days per year


Statutory Holidays: 8 Public Holidays per year
