Permanent, Part Time (22.5 hours per week) About the role**Hartrigg Oaks is a thriving retirement continuing care community with 152 bungalows, Health Activity Centre, hydrotherapy pool, restaurant, communal facilities, and a 43 bed care home at its centre.


It's important that the day-to-day operation of the Health Activity Centre and Spa Pool are run smoothly, efficiently, and safely for our residents and we're now looking for a Rehabilitation / Spa Pool Assistant to help us with that.


Your challenge will be to promote health and wellbeing with a view to increasing and encouraging, where we're able, independent living.

You'll support the Supervisor in providing expertise in rehabilitation and carry out inductions for new members, to ensure the safe use of equipment and their health and wellbeing.

You'll provide support in the creation and delivery of tailored exercise programmes, ensuring our residents are fully involved in the process and carry out regular compliance checks, ensuring all machines and equipment are safe and fit for purpose.

This is a permanent, part time role for 22.5 hours per week. Hours are to be worked Monday to Friday, 4.5 hours each day.


About you


This is the perfect opportunity for someone who holds a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification and who has experience of producing and delivering tailored exercise programmes.

Naturally, we'd like you to be friendly and approachable and enjoy working with older people in our communities.


Caring and compassionate, you'll enjoy working as part of a team and be creative in your approach, ensuring that each programme is tailored to meet individual needs.

You'll be a confident swimmer and be able to deliver exercise classes with high levels of physical activity.

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.


We want to make sure that everyone, including our residents and staff, are kept safe and have extensive safety and infection control measures in place, throughout our working environments.

This means that we'd like to make sure that anyone who works in a residential or nursing care home, or, if someone needs to enter a residential care setting to carry out their role, is fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
