We are looking for a data focused Business Analyst to join the Data Operations Tech Team.

The Data Operations Technology team is a technology team with a broad remit to source, master, validate and distribute data to support the Asset Management business.

The base
We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We're close to our clients, in the heart of the UK's financial centre. And we have everything we need to work flexibly.


The team


The Operations and Private Assets Technology function supports a number of business processes such as; Transaction Operations, Cash Operations, Reconciliations, Investment Accounting, Performance and Attribution, Reporting and Fund Operations.


The Technology team works very closely with the Operations business to create a Technology platform with an emphasis on a stable operating environment that can function at multiple speeds and levels of scale.

Our primary goal is to deliver value throughTechnology domain expertise and robust solutions to our customers.

The teams operate under an agile operating model facing off to defined capabilities within our business.


We recognise that successfully balancing personal and professional commitments brings out the best in our teams and therefore all roles in Global Technology are reviewed for suitability for flexible working arrangements.

This specific opportunity it is expectedto require 5 days per week with around half your time remotely.

What you'll do


Representing Data Operations Technology team to multiple stakeholders across numerous projects to ensure the delivery of data solutions to deliver business benefit.


Key aspects of the role will include:

  • Lead the analysis of functional, business and technical requirements into flexible, strategic solutions
  • Offer data consultancy to business and technology stakeholders
  • Performing analysis to support the requirement and evaluate the viability of the solution
  • Work closely with the development, test and support teams to understand and deliver the requirement
  • Taking ownership of your own work and shared responsibility for the team
  • Support the full project lifecycle through to implementation and production support

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  • Experience of Financial Services and asset management data
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Experience working with databases, including SQL
  • Good all round technical and business knowledge to help find the best solution to a requirement
  • Working with senior stakeholders and users
  • Logical, structured thought processes and good problemsolving
  • Relationship management and business engagement

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

  • Structured analysis techniques
  • Familiar with Agile delivery methodologies
  • Able to engage with stakeholders in both Business and Technology
  • Multidisciplined and able to provide support throughout SDLC
  • Capable of balancing timely delivery against strategic development
  • Able to challenge stakeholders diplomatically but robustly when appropriate
  • Proactive and deliveryfocused
