Warehouse Assistant/ FLT Driver

Normanton
Talent UK is working with the World leading supplier of structural steel and plate fabrication equipment. (UK subsidiary of this Global business).


Due to growth, our client is now looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Assistant to join their team on a full time, permanent bases.


Overview of Position

  • Ensuring the safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of warehouse goods
  • Duties to include taking delivery of shipments, checking goods for damage, or missing items and storing warehouse goods in an organised manner
  • Responsible for taking deliveries and processing the items including booking them into stock
  • Ensuring any damaged or missing goods are reported immediately to the Stock & Tooling Coordinator
  • Processing and packing of orders ready to be shipped to customers
  • Providing cover for Stock & Tooling Coordinator role as and when required
  • Responsible for delivering and submitting daily and annual stock takes
  • Ensuring the warehouse and showroom is always kept clean and in good order
  • Ensuring warehouse machines are kept clean and tidy, ready for customer visits
  • Maintenance of the yard area and car park, liaising with visiting contractors
  • Responsible for the completion of appropriate paperwork when required, for example fork truck daily checks
  • Organising the shipping of site boxes, oil pumps and installation packs to customer sites in preparation for installations and services
  • Assisting at exhibitions and promoting products as and when required
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Stock & Tooling Coordinator/Management

Experience

  • Warehouse experience
  • Experience using Sage or other stock control software is desirable
- training can be given

  • Basic IT Skills
  • FLT licence / Client is happy to refresh licence
  • Being comfortable in a physical role
  • Good attention to detail

Salary & Benefits

  • This is a full time, permanent position
  • Monday to Friday 08.30am5.00pm
  • Salary: £23k£24k per annum
  • Holidays
  • 25 days per annum plus bank holidays
