Responsibilities:

• Construct and repair walls, foundations, chimneys, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and mortar
• Lay out patterns or foundations using a measuring tape, square, and level
• Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto surfaces using a trowel
• Cut bricks or blocks to size using hand tools or power saws
• Install firebricks or refractory tiles in hightemperature environments such as furnaces or kilns
• Repair and replace damaged bricks or masonry units

Skills:

• Proficient in masonry techniques and practices
• Knowledge of different types of bricks, blocks, and stones used in construction
• Ability to read blueprints and follow construction plans
• Experience with power tools such as saws and drills
• Familiarity with hand tools used in masonry work
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately

• Plastering: 1 year (preferred)

• CSCS (preferred)
• Driving Licence (preferred)

• Birmingham: Relocate before starting work (required)
