Senior Management Accountant - £50,000 - £65,000 - Office based in Ascot

The Company

Working for one of the most highly acquisitive and well-performing businesses in the area, this newly created Senior Management Accountant position will be integral to the organisations continued success.

This is a great opportunity to work very closely with a Finance Director and Controller with a track record in developing their staff.

This role is critical to the growing business and my client is looking to get someone on board ASAP.

Key role functions:

Management Accounts
Responsible for finalising all aspects of the monthly management accounts

Posting journals -sales/ margin information, accruals, prepayments, nominal corrections

Reviewing performance against budget and forecasts and analysing variances

Reviewing all control accounts, with particular focus on purchase ledger

Working with rest of Finance team and wider business to collate the Board packs

Updating rolling forecast (all financial statements) with actual data (monthly)

Budgeting & forecasting
Responsible for P&Ls, focusing on accuracy

Significant involvement in the production of the annual financial budget, from first draft to final submission

High level of involvement with re-forecasting as well as quarterly reviews

Timely submission of monthly UK VAT submission

Business partnering
Monthly review meetings with budget holders, challenging variances where appropriate to drive bottom line performance

Financial modelling to access the financial validity of new projects, coupled with finance representation to support the roll out of viable projects

New reporting and insight to aid decision making, and drive performance

Work closely with the Operational team to investigate efficiencies and cost savings

What will you need to be successful?
Part / Qualified Accountant

Strong Management Accounting experience
