Role Purpose:

  • Reporting into the EU Finance Controller, with a daytoday dotted line reporting into the Site Director
  • Responsible for the primary finance support to the Site Director and Site Management team, through evaluating and contributing towards site projects
  • As well as the site team, also supports finance projects within UK Healthcare

Scope:

  • All finances relevant

elated to the factory:
the Hull site consists of three key areas: Liquids Manufacture and Packing; Dries Manufacture and Packing; Buprenorphine Manufacture and Packing

  • Lead and manage the Finance team on the Hull site with full responsibility for the factory performance, including financial plan and forecasts, the month end process, variance analysis and financial reviews (Financial year is January to December)

Accountabilities:

  • The key contact point for all finance related questions and for financial evaluation of adhoc projects on site, in support of the Site Director, UK Healthcare Leadership Team, EU Finance Controller, Regional FD and Corporate Head Office.
  • Coordination and delivery of month end timetable in line with corporate timetable, culminating in:
  • Execution of monthly margin delivery aligned with commercial team and communicated to Corporate head office
  • Construction of the Factory Operating Statement, reflecting the production through put of the factory
  • Preparation and communication of the monthly commentary on volumes, manufacturing & material variance, fixed costs and site margin
  • Communication of Financial results to the Site Management team and the UK Healthcare Leadership team, in order to promote financial awareness and drive towards meeting the financial commitments of the site
  • Carry out monthly Balance Sheet reviews, including fixed assets, stock, accruals and prepayments to ensure that full controls are being applied and Corporate policies are being adhered to
  • Evaluation of related Capital Expenditure to ensure that return on capital expenditure is maximised, and to manage the Capital expenditure process in conjunction with the Engineering team
  • Preparation and submission of Quarterly forecasts into Commercial team to support submissions process into Corporate Head office. Process to be supported with analysis verse plan/prior year/previous FC

Skills & Experience required:

  • Experience\working knowledge of key manufacturing topics
  • Material and Manufacturing Variances, Fixed Costs reviews etc, labour analysis
  • Proven experience of managing a team
  • Strong IT skills, covering SAP based accounting systems and Excel

Technical\professional qualifications required:

  • Educated to Degree level or similar
  • Qualified Accountant (Ideally CIMA, possibly ACCA) possessing 35 years postqualification experience in an FMCG or a highvolume manufacturing organisation
