Reporting to the VP People Andy, the People Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in managing HR and payroll functions for Kiln in all of our locations.

Responsibilities:


  • HR Administration:
  • Manage employee records and ensure data accuracy in HRIS systems (e.g., Bob, Personio etc).
  • Process employee onboarding, offboarding, and status changes.
  • Assist with HR compliance requirements in the UK, France and Singapore including employment law and regulations.
  • Coordinate employee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
  • Payroll Processing:
  • Prepare and process payroll for employees in the UK, France, Singapore and Deel ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
  • Verify timesheets, commissions, bonuses, and other payrollrelated data.
  • Collaborate with external payroll providers to resolve issues and ensure timely payroll processing.
  • Reconcile payrollrelated accounts and assist with payroll reporting as needed.
  • Employee Relations:
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and payroll.
  • Assist with resolving employee relations issues, including disputes, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
  • Support managers with performance management processes and documentation.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
  • Stay uptodate with UK, French and Singaporean employment laws and regulations, ensuring company compliance.
  • Prepare and submit statutory reports and filings related to HR and payroll (e.g., tax filings, social security contributions).
  • Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify, develop, and implement streamlined HR and payroll processes in collaboration with crossfunctional teams, documenting SOPs to ensure efficiency and consistency.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement process improvements and best practices.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2.5+ years of experience in HR administration and
    payroll processing, preferably in an international environment.
  • Knowledge of HR and payroll regulations and practices in France.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR, ADP) and payroll software (e.g., Payfit).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Full proficiency in
    both English and French languages

Nice-to-have:


  • Knowledge of HR and payroll regulations and practices in the UK, in the USA or in Singapore.
  • Experience or interest in Web3/crypto/blockchain/DeFi
