A Secondary School in Haringey are looking for an experienced Behaviour Mentor/Teaching Assistant with experience who can join the school to support their pupils on a long-term basis (Permanent Basis)


The Role


In this role you will be supporting 11 to 16 year old students who have been excluded from the classroom due to needing isolated support in their learning which is more focused.

The students that you will be working with will display challenging behavior. Alongside assistance in lessons and therapy sessions, students require support to manage their own emotions and de-escalate situations. You will work closely with a range of teachers, professionals and therapists.


Due to the nature of this role, the school are only looking for a Behaviour Teaching Assistant/Mentor with previous experience supporting pupils with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

PRU or similar experience would be preferable. Restraint training or de-escalation training is desirable, however, not essential.

  • You are experienced working with students who have complex behavioral needs
  • You have the right to work in the UK
  • You are available full time
  • You are passionate about supporting children with complex needs
  • You have a DBS (Enhanced) and on the update service.
