The main purpose of this role is to manage a team of MN, Network Partner and Coinsurance Credit Control Specialists who are accountable for the collection of premium receivables for MN business across EMEA and Co-Insurance for UK&I.


The role will be responsible for ensuring timely allocations of the various Multinational Bordereaux, and to lead all aspects of the end to end Central Premium Collection Process.


You will take ownership of the EMEA portfolio of local collection of Network partners for EMEA and Co-insurers for UKI, managing premium receivables due to Chubb, ensuring bad debt exposure is kept to a minimum in line with set targets and guidelines.


You will need the ability to build strong business relationships with the Global Service department, Intercompany, insurance companies, offshore support teams, and the Network Management Team with the expectation of improving cash collection, through alignment of common processes, procedures, control monitoring and reporting.


The role will require the monitoring of Network Partners and Co-Insurer performance and seek remedial action to mitigate delays in collection and improve settlement and reconciliation processes.


You will proactively manage and supervise overdue premium and unallocated cash performance for the team, offering support through target & priority setting.

Raising collection issues to the UKI and CE Head of Credit Control where vital.

You will be responsible for reviewing current processes and identify potential improvements and efficiency.


Key responsibilities:


Deliver Due, Overdue and Inadmissible premium, Unapplied and Unallocated Cash and Claims results ensuring that any issues preventing attainment are raised to the Head of UKI and Head of CE Credit Control.

Undertake the management of the MN Credit Control Team based in London who are responsible for the collection of the Network Partner Local Premiums for EMEA, ensure all Central Collect premiums are registered against the MN programmes.

Settlements to the Network in respect of their fees and commissions are processed on a monthly basis and to ensure timely reconciliation of the Multinational Bordereaux.

Monitor team performance against all targets set in respect premium receivables. Ensuring that, a consistent approach is adopted across the team in line with the Global AR TOM. Lead the day to day relationships with Global Services and the Network Management Team.

Work with and support the offshore Credit Control team and Credit Control BPO Manager, providing clear information and a point of contact for any issues they may have.

Provide clarification and work to build offshore knowledge.

Act as an escalation point to resolve all Credit Control issues including, but not limited to the Collection of Premium, Claims and the clearance of Cash received including the liaison with Underwriters, Network Managers, Operations, Claims, Finance and third parties.

Take lead role in internal business relationships and in particular Global Services across the EMEA business, ensuring a pro-active communication flow is in place and is relevant to business strategies.

In collaboration with Credit Control Management, review processes and procedures on a regular basis in order to identify efficiency gains within the team, ensuring that a consistent process is adopted across the team.

Agree, implement and detail the improvements ensuring adherence across all teams.

Take ownership for the recruitment, performance management and development of the MN Credit Control team, including the identification of training needs and maximising Cross-skilling across the department.

Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley control documents relevant to the team and ensure that they are maintained in accordance with company guidelines.


Qualifications:


Required skills & Experience:

Insurance market experience crucial with a knowledge of Multinational, Captive, Intercompany and Clinical Trial programmes

Credit Control experience managing premium receivables.

Improvement in execution experience.

Customer Service orientated

Demonstrable ability to communicate consistently and effectively with people at all management level

Commercial acumen

High orientation to on-time delivery

People management or resourcing management experience is preferential but not essential
