Change Grow Live are a charity dedicated to the belief that we can make a difference to our Service Users lives, we have an exciting 12 months FTC role for someone who is passionate about eliminating Hepatitis C as a major public health threat? Do you have experience working with people affected by Hepatitis C and a good understanding of how the virus is treated? We are looking for a dynamic individual who will be dedicated to Hepatitis C work across our Sussex Services.


Responsibilities:


Purpose of role:

***- To be an integral key team member who's skills and abilities will be one of the key elements in the overall aim for the Sussex NHS Operational Delivery Network hepatitis C team & CGL to achieve micro elimination of hepatitis C by 202- To support services on engaging & testing people who inject drugs or put themselves at risk of contracting hepatitis C who are not currently in treatment with CGL across Sussex.

  • To support services and at times lead on organising hep c testing events at local partnership hubs/locations across Sussex.
  • Support the promotion of the service and raise awareness of hepatitis C & other blood borne viruses associated with highrisk injecting drug use and provide harm reduction advice to service users.
  • To promote safer injecting and safer sexual practices.
  • To provide focussed harm reduction advice and initiatives, including advice on overdose prevention (e.g. risks of polydrug use and alcohol use)
  • To help people who use drugs and/or alcohol access appropriate treatment by referral to other health/specialist agencies.
