Data Engineer - Engineering Capability Support
Location:

What you'll be doing:
- Making complex and technical information and language simple and accessible for a nontechnical audience
- Identifying and using the most appropriate analytical tools & techniques to translate data into valuable insights that inform decisions
- Sourcing and maintaining a complex and diverse engineering capability dataset
- Integrating and separating data feeds in order to map, produce, transform and test new data products
- Recognising and exploiting business opportunities to ensure efficient and effective performance of organisations
- Designing and maintaining the appropriate metadata repositories to enable the organisation to understand their data assets
- Logging, analysing and managing problems in order to identify and implement the appropriate solution
- Plan, design, manage, execute and report tests, using appropriate tools and techniques, and work within regulations
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Degree in a STEM discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience in data manipulation, interrogation, synthesis, analysis and reporting
- Microsoft Excel
- Capability data design and architecture
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Desirable:
- Experience in toolsets such as Microsoft Access, Power BI and Tableau
- Data reporting

The Engineering Capability Team:
As a Data Engineer for Engineering Capability, you will support managing the capability data for Software Intensive Systems engineers where you will gather, organise, develop and report data back to key stakeholders within the business.
