The Technical Lead will be embedded into EDVANCE, working on the Sizewell project. This is a permanent opportunity, based in Bristol.

About The Role:

This service will support the delivery of nuclear power plant Emergency and Ultimate Diesel Generators (EDG/UDG) to the client, from external suppliers, through the following activities:

Supporting the development of contract packages with a primary focus on definition of technical requirements and specifications, and detailed technical evaluation of supplier proposals.
Authoring technical specifications and associated technical delivery documents where necessary to define the contract delivery requirements, including the coordination of technical specialists to provide inputs as necessary.
Perform surveillance and approval of contractor deliverables and design activities.
Coordination of technical specialists to perform review of deliverables and

resolution of technical issues.

Lead contract technical and project meetings.
Resolution activities for multidisciplinary technical issues and queries, including input to/ownership of resolving technical Open Points (OP), interface queries and Design Changes (UKDC)
Review and approve contract amendments and exemptions (CTSs, ERs)
Liaise with other RD and client teams to ensure integration of equipment with interfacing functions, systems and structures.
Liaise with RD and client management teams to communicate progress, risks, issues and planning to support contract delivery.
Awareness of contract commercial structures and working practices, including supplier management.

Required Technical Skills:

Master's degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Scientific Discipline years).
Understanding of Emergency Diesel Generators or similar multidisciplinary

nuclear power plant equipment.

Understanding of the EPR or general PWR design.
Understanding of nuclear design processes, mechanical and electrical/C&I

interfaces (electrical systems, instrumentation and controls, anchorages, civil
work, piping, fluids, safety, systems engineering)

IT literate.
Capable of producing technical specifications.
Sound understanding of nuclear equipment regulations such as RCC-E.
Experience on the design of nuclear safety classified equipment.
Experience of equipment supply contracts and contract forms such as

NEC/FIDIC.

Frenchspeaking would be an advantage.
Experience using changemanagement, commercial and deliverable management

systems (UKDC, UKICM, OPM, CEMAR, Teamcenter) is advantageous.
