Reporting to:
Head of Commercial Finance

The role

We are looking for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join the Commercial Finance team.

This high profile finance role will be the trusted senior business partner to all of the cost centres (People, Marketing, Technology and G&A).

You will develop strong working relationships with the Heads of in these areas as well as their wider teams, creating an atmosphere of trust and reliability, though also challenge and stretch.

You will play a critical role in driving the performance of these areas by influencing, shaping, supporting and delivering new projects, strategic plans and managing budgets.

The role drives action and good decision-making through quality analysis with clear presentation and conclusions, with the ultimate goal of improving Rightmove's profitability and efficiency.


The responsibilities

  • Senior business partner and finance contact for all cost centres
  • Responsible for the financial and commercial evaluation of investment decisions in the cost centres and provide them with advice on opportunities to maximise profitable growth and ROI
  • Be able to think independently and use data to help guide the teams you are business partnering challenge decisions, add insight and provide solutions that help the business units to accomplish their revenue targets and strategy
  • Production of budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning for and feed into the Group forecasting
  • Be a leader and mentor within the Finance team itself, and contribute to the delivery of the overall Finance agenda
  • Responsible for the reporting and planning for the business units. Constant review of key drivers and highlighting changes that can expose either opportunities or risks. Continuously seek to improve the way in which information is gathered, presented and interpreted, adapting reporting to cater for changing requirements

Superpowers required

  • 5+ years post qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), with evidence of strong performance and experience in business partnering
  • Experience of Business Partnering costs
  • Experience of budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong Excel skills
  • High level of financial and commercial acumen
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, able to foster partnerships and good working relationships with senior stakeholders and build effective networks across Rightmove
  • Excellent communication skills as the role requires interaction across all operational functions of the business, both financial and nonfinancial; and the presentation of financial and nonfinancial information to senior stakeholders
  • Must be able to prioritise and have a flexible approach, responding to the changing nature of Rightmove in a timely manner
  • Selfstarter who's able to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines
  • Willing to take on a hands on approach to support the team deliverables
  • Open and honest team player
