Planogramming & Ranging Specialist

12 Months FTC

£29,000 - £32,000 + Pension + BUPA + ShareSave + 6.6 weeks holiday + Hybrid Working( 3 x days per week in the office)

Key responsibilities


Responsible for drawing accurate and detailed planogram layouts that support the category vision, ensuring that agreed visual merchandising and assortment principles are adhered to.

Accountable for the end-to-end process of planogram construction, maintenance and setting of replenishment parameters and posting to SAP. You will be accountable for the accurate ranging of stores ensuring right product, right store, and right time.

  • Understands the range plan process and principles with the ability to translate these alongside the visual merchandising brief into a suite of planograms suitable for the B&Q store estate.
  • Is able to translate technical requirements & specifications into a planogram document our store colleagues can implement with ease whilst supporting store queries as they arise
  • Keeps our stores safe, being fully aware of H&S policy thinking about customers & store staff
  • Works in a methodological manner, with good planning and attention to detail. Able to work on multiple projects at the same time & at different stages
  • Ensure correct space allocation to products to support their sales.
  • Ensure equipment requirements and POS requirements are accurately drawn and listed within the planogram.
  • Ensure display requirements are accurately and clearly drawn within the planogram.
  • Ensure key replenishment parameters (minimum stock level) and initial allocations are agreed with the category merchandisers and are applied to the planogram.

Required skills & experience

  • Computer literate, able to manipulate data between various IT programs; in particular Space Planning, Microsoft Office.
  • Organised and methodical with a passion for accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to check data and ensure this adheres to current guidelines.
  • Able to manage multiple projects.
  • Analytical
  • Commercial and/or Retail experience
  • Health & Safety awareness
  • Understanding of equipment and POS
  • Knowledge of Space Planning/Intactix Database software
  • SAP/ECC6, CKB and JDA space planning knowledge desirable but not essential
