    About the role


    You will be working within our North East & Cumbria business, where you will:

    • Be responsible for day-to-day surveying and setting out of engineering and building works.
    • General management and co-ordination of digital engineering information.
    • Ensure quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with specification.
    • Operates and promotes a high standard of health and safety and environment compliance.
    • Plan and schedule the work and efficiently organise the site in order to meet an agreed programme of deadlines.
    • Attend regular meetings with the section engineer/sub agent/agent to update on progress of works.
    • Supervise and monitor the site labour force through general foreman and or supervisors, monitoring the work of any subcontractors to complete the work as per customer's satisfaction.
    • Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time.

    Qualifications


    We are looking for someone who is educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant industry subject and who has proven experience as a Site Engineer, working on a construction site. You'll have completed a CSCS 5 day safety qualification and hold a relevant CSCS card, and have sound knowledge of construction methods, Health & Safety, and legal regulations. You'll have good planning and time management skills and have some experience of supervising a team. You'll be confident when it comes to setting out earthworks and structures and have a good understanding of bill of quantities. You'll have some experience of AutoCAD and be comfortable handling situations and problems.
