Akton recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Childrens Team leader to join the team.
Job role - Team Leader
Team Leader, Safeguarding Team 36 hours a week (5 days), 3 days a week in the office minimum. Parking available. London Pledge applies. - Directly managing a team of 4/5 workers. - Responsible for all direct management, professional and case supervision. -Chairing strategy meetings, authorising reports etc. - Managing performance of sub-team and formally reporting every Monday on this. - Managing duty for a week (1 in every 5 weeks). The team holds Child in Need, Child Protection and Care Proceedings untilfinal order.
About the role

The Team Leader will provide the operational management and leadership support across the service geographical areas supporting the Head of Safeguarding and other Heads of Service.

They will be responsible for managing Senior Practitioners and Social Workers.

The role will ensure high levels of quality interventions, effective case management oversight, decision making and overall performance in the best interest to children, young peopleand their families.

They will use AfC's social work practice model, Signs of Safety, agreed quality standards and operating procedures. This role will represent AfC at operational and strategic multi-agency and other meetings as appropriate.

The role will lead the team's professionaldevelopment and have a strong understanding of the people's policies to maximise productivity, performance and achieve the best outcomes for children, young people and their families and our workforce's development.

In all roles across AfC the post holders will be expected to develop and lead a culture of partnership and innovation, so that services are child focussed, flexible and adaptable.

The whole organisation should learn from mistakes, share knowledge, and challengeexisting practice.
